If you love to cook rather than eat freeze dried meal then this lightweight pan is a great option. With a folding handle, good depth and durable design it will certainly get plenty of use. Perfect for a basecamp and car camping too.

Our Verdict

Sea to Summit’s Non-Stick Alpha Pan 8″ is a great piece of kit for any camp kitchen. The strong, folding handle locks into place to give you a solid pan for cooking. I found it a bit difficult getting it unlocked on the first few uses but I’d prefer that for giving a secure feeling when full. The size of the pan is decent but the depth is impressive and comes in useful when cooking multiple items.

It’s light enough and packs small enough to carry this on backpacking trips if you want to be able to cook regularly or you can’t do without a fry up on a morning! It works perfectly for short overnight trips, for a basecamp and for car camping.
