The Petzl Core Rechargeable Battery saves the equivalent of 900 standard, non-rechargeable batteries from going into landfill from your head torch. It charges quickly and fits a number of Petzl head torches.

Our Verdict

Petzl’s Core Rechargeable Battery is an excellent concept as is allows you to reap the benefits of an efficient rechargeable battery while being able to swap between this or normal batteries in your Petzl head torch. It actually provides a better performance by maintaining a higher lumen beam for longer without any fading towards the end of the battery life. With a full recharge time of just 3 hours and USB port it is really practical and easy to use.

The environmental benefits are amazing with this Core battery saving 900 standard, non-rechargeable batteries being used and then going into landfill. that alone should make this a strong consideration for you along with the cost benefit of saving you buying all those batteries if you have any of the following Petzl head torches: TIKKINA, TIKKA, ZIPKA, ACTIK, ACTIK CORE, TACTIKKA, TACTIKKA + and TACTIKKA +RGB.
