Our Verdict

Outdoor Research’s Helium Emergency Bivy is an extremely lightweight and packable insurance policy for when things don’t go to plan and you need shelter from the elements. You can stick in you rucksack and not notice it until you need it such is the small pack size. The bag is big enough to fit 2 people if needs be.

The bag could provide extra warmth in a tent if needs be or to keep you sleeping mat and bag clean when staying in a bothy.
