The Airpin stakes are a fantastic needle peg design with a difference. The ability to quickly lock off guy lines without the need to tie knots is great.

Our Verdict

Nemo’s Airpin Ultralight Stakes are a more versatile take on the traditional nail peg design. They are still lightweight at 10g per peg, made from super strong aluminium and have a simple but highly effective head that allows you to lock of guy lines but wrapping them around the three notches on it.

The pegs can obviously still be used as normal but the design of the locking system adds versatility for use with a range of cords and guy lines without the need for knots. For the weight they are a great addition to any peg collection especially for reliability in emergency use.
