The Mycro is a great little emergency head torch. It’s lightweight, rechargeable, water resistant and has enough settings to help you out in most situations.

Our Verdict

NEBO’s Mycro 400 Headlamp & Cap Light meets all the requirements of an emergency head torch and more. Weighing in at just 47g in a waterproof, impact resistant package with a USB rechargeable battery you get a great start to any lightweight head torch. The Mycro lives up to the name and is a small, easily packable piece of kit that fits in any pocket for emergency access. The torch has a solid build and the versatility of using it with the traditional head band or the visor clip for use on the end of a cap.

With six settings from the maximum 400 lumens on the short use Turbo setting through to the low 15 lumens setting or the green or red light there are plenty of easy to use options. The burn times are generally quite short but this isn’t designed as your general use torch for camping. It’s a solid, hard wearing little torch that’s great to have stowed away as a back up.
