Minimalist is in the name, minimalist in nature, but i think capable of big adventures and at less than 200g, this all in one cook system could be a game-changer.

This is a pot, not a stove system

The ultralight, hyper-efficient Halulite Minimalist is a 177g – that’s just six ounces – set-up that includes a half-liter pot that doubles as a mug, a telescoping Foon – like a spork but better – and a silicone gripper. The hard-anodized aluminum is burly, scratch resistant, and heats more evenly than titanium, and it all nests together perfectly, leaving room for your ultralight stove and fuel canister.

Our Verdict

Colour me seriously impressed with this little bit of kit. I wasn’t sure what to make of this when I first got it out of the box, but in all honesty, this could be the answer to my ideal cook system for one or two nights away, especially when I’m conscious of weight. A 0.6L pot (perfect for most dehydrated meals) with a well-fitting lid, that transforms in to an insulated drinking vessel, simply place the pot in its “sleeve” and turn over the lid, to keep the heat in and bugs out.

The kit also comes with a pot grip and a telescoping Spork, sorry that should be “Foon” . The pot is just the right size to fit in a 100g gas container, and a micro stove (such as a MSR pocket rocket or SOTO Amicus). Making this an all-in-one camp kitchen set up, that packs down incredibly small, really living up to its minimalist name. Definitely a solo cook system, this would be a good addition to your pack for a multitude of different activities, a fresh cuppa on a day hike, a cook system for a week away or just to have in your fishing kit for a brew by the lake.
