This is a well-constructed 1500-millilitre pan constructed for lightweight and durable Aluminium alloy. As well as being incredibly light and durable, this pot has a useful feature set consisting of fold-away heat-resistant handles and measurement lines.

Montbell says: 

Wide-mouth aluminum cook pot with a heat resistant handle, measurement lines, pouring spout and steam vents. The included lid also features a silicon gasket on the backside which hooks onto the lip of the cook pot, acting as a lid rest.

Our Verdict

Aluminium is a hard-wearing and lightweight material. Mont Bell does a great job integrating it into their products, so you will not only have some of the lightest gear available, but it will be incredibly durable and perform well in the backcountry.

As well as being incredibly light and durable, this pot has a useful feature set consisting of fold-away silicon-covered handles that protect the metal from getting too hot; internally, there are measurement lines which I appreciate, especially if I’m making dehydrated meals.
